In and around Bad Kleinkirchheim, you’ll find cross-country trails of different difficulties. Cross-country skiers of all levels, from beginners to advanced, can practice this gentle sport on the 8 km long valley trail, be it skating or classical style. The 4 km long groomed trail in Feld am See is particularly appealing, leading across the frozen Lake Brennsee!

The local sports schools offer regular cross-country skiing courses, teaching the correct technique right from the start.

Römertrail Bad Kleinkirchheim, 8 km


One of the trails that awaits you in the cross-country skiing region of Bad Kleinkirchheim is the varied Römertrail by the golf course, which is of medium difficulty and artificially snowed. When the snow conditions allow, the trail leads all the way to Gnesau (45 km).

The challenging sport trail runs parallel to the Römertrail, and can thus be easily combined with it, meaning that different ability levels can go side by side.

High-altitude trail Falkert Heidi Alm Bergresort, 6.5 km


The beginning and end of the 6 km long high-altitude trail can be found by the ski lifts right above Family Hotel Schneekönig. The circular trail around Lake Falkertsee is 500 m long.

Turracher Höhe: 4 trails, 16 km


There are four trails with a total length of 16 km for everyone - from beginners to advanced -to choose from: Turracher See, Weitental, Zirbenwald and Hochmoor.

Panorama high-altitude trail Hochrindl, 23.5 km


This unique trail at between 1,550 and 1,750 metres above sea level guarantees wonderful views when cross-country skiing through Carinthia’s Nockberge mountains: L1 practice trail Hochrindl (0.99 km), L2 circular trail Anderle (3.5 km), NEW: Anderl trail II (3 km), L3 Riapl trail (5 km) and the L4 high-altitude trail Panorama (11 km). The trails are groomed for both skating and classical style.
