Thermal baths Bad Kleinkirchheim

It is likely to have been the Benedictine months who cultivated the high valley in the 11th century that discovered the thermal spring, and there are many myths and legends surrounding this powerful spot. To this day, you can experience the soothing effect of the "Augenquelle" (eye spring), as St. Catherine’s church was built where the spring comes to light.

A staircase leads down to the crypt below the church. Rich in minerals and around 36 °C warm, the thermal water finds its way to the surface in a corner of the crypt, continuing to supply both of Bad Kleinkirchheim’s spas with its healing properties.

Tip! Allow a little more time to visit this special place and take a sip from the energising spring! The healing water is particularly rich in magnesium, sodium and potassium.

How do I get to the healing spring? A visit to the "Augenquelle" in the crypt is best combined with a walk. From Thermenstraße, a path leads to St. Catherine’s church. The crypt can be accessed all year round!
