Vienna has its cabs, Venice has its gondolas and Bad Kleinkirchheim has Gotthard Thamer. For over 60 years, guests from all over the world have been experiencing the winter landscape from inside his sleigh.
The snowy landscape passes you by as you sit snuggled under warm blankets. Your sleigh ride will you take you over snowy fields and around the soft curves of the Nockberge Mountains. Other than the snorting of the horses and the jingling of the sleigh bells your ride will be enveloped in the silence of nature.
Magical winter fun for the whole family
A sleigh ride is probably the most comfortable and enjoyable way to experience Bad Kleinkirchheim in winter. Inside Gotthard Thamer’s sleigh there is space for up to 4 people. The sleigh is drawn by one of his three Noriker mares. Those who head to Bad Kleinkirchheim in the summertime can usually find the three mares on the Alpine meadow where the horses get to relax during the summer months.
The Moosbauerhof of Gotthard Thamer is located at Dorfstraße 80 near the start of the cross-country ski track, 100 metres east of the roman baths.
Please note: At the moment the horse-drawn sleigh ride is not possible due to weather conditions (ice on the roads)!
